Help when you need it

Find the next step for account access, coding feedback, assessments, and privacy requests.

Contact the right person

For enrollment, grades, deadlines, team membership, or a disputed monitoring flag, contact your instructor or competition organizer. They manage the rules and records for that activity.

For account, platform, or privacy concerns, contact the instructor or administrator who invited you to BrainByte. Include your account email, the page or activity, the time of the issue, and the message you saw. Avoid sending passwords, private test cases, or camera evidence over email.

I cannot sign in

Use Forgot password to recover a password account, and check your spam folder for the email. Google sign-in requires a verified Google email. New users can also create a student account.

If your account has no assigned role, your invitation does not match, or you cannot access your two-factor authenticator or recovery codes, contact the administrator who manages your account.

A code run or submission failed

A run uses the visible test cases. A submission can also use hidden test cases, so a successful run does not guarantee an accepted submission. Check the supported language, output format, time limit, and memory limit.

If the judging service is unavailable, keep a copy of your code and note the error and time. If a deadline is close or has passed, contact the instructor or organizer before relying on another attempt.

Starting a monitored activity

Read the workspace requirements first. If camera checks are enabled, allow camera access, keep your face visible, and use adequate lighting. If fullscreen is required, use a browser and device that support the workspace’s fullscreen controls.

Ask your instructor before starting if you cannot meet a requirement or need an accommodation. A connection loss is not automatically a violation. Report incorrect warnings with the activity and time so the instructor can review the evidence.

Change or remove my information

Update your name and email or delete your account from profile settings. Changing an email can require verification again.

For a copy, correction, or deletion request involving learning records, uploaded content, or monitoring evidence, contact the instructor or administrator who invited you to BrainByte. The Privacy notice explains what is collected and the limits of account deletion.
